Key events in 2009 :

In infrastructure :
The key event in 2009 was the acquisition of the business of the Gérard KASPAR company specializing in so-called "dry networks" (electricity, gas).

In energy :
Efforts to grow our renewable energy business (hydropower, offshore wind power, solar) were maintained, resulting in :

• - The commissioning of new wind farms
• - Building permit applications for photovoltaic farms
• - Prefect's authorization issued to ROANNE ENERGIE NATURELLE to build a hydropower plant on the Loire river
• - Permit application filed for the RHEA offshore wind farm project

Finances :
The financial crisis resulted in lower interest rates, negatively impacting the financial income linked to our cash flow investments.

2009 was also marked by the fact that the development of the RHEA project was accounted for as an expense.

Creation

The MAÏA GROUP was created over 100 years ago, in 1908, by Mr. Amable Maja.
In 1965, the MAÏA and SONNIER companies merged to become MAÏA SONNIER.
In 2002, Christophe Gruy and his colleagues purchased all of the shares in the company from the Général Routière group.

Status and capital

The MAÏA GROUP is a business corporation with a capital of €50 M.
The net equity Group share represents €87 M, and the consolidated equity represents €142 M.
€355 M in investments are planned between now and 2013.

Staff

Christophe Gruy is the Chairman of the MAÏA GROUP.

Over 60% of the 350 staff members composing the MAÏA GROUP are engineers and senior technicians.

The MAÏA SONNIER arm is based in Lyon, Marseille and Amiens.
Its subsidiaries are located as follows :

The MAÏA POWER arm has a single location, in Lyon.
Its subsidiaries are also located in Lyon, with the exception of Maïa Eolis, in which the MAÏA GROUP owns a 51% share and whose head office is in Lille.
